How to Have the Best Summer Weekend
With the days getting warmer and more things reopening all around us, it feels like this summer is set to be a hot one! Miami is abuzz with new dining, activities, and event spaces, and after so many months spent in lockdown, it can be hard to know where to begin. To ease the transition back into social life, we’ve compiled some standout events this week to help get you started. Read ahead for our guide to enjoying a fabulous weekend in our city that’s ready for summer 2021!
Celebrate Global Wellness Day
This upcoming Saturday is Global Wellness Day, and what better way to get back in action than a visit to some excellent pop-ups geared towards mind and body wellness. THesis Hotel Miami will be hosting a day filled with healthy activities, including a 45-minute boot camp class, yoga with Green Monkey Yoga, and a sound bowl meditation session led by wellness expert Annie Vazquez of Annie the Alchemist. Carillon Miami Wellness Resort will also host a day filled with health and fitness events this Saturday, with a lineup that includes aqua spinning class and a panel on managing “Work, Life, and Love in 2021.”
Mix It Up With Stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race
Looking for a fun way to mix up weekend cocktails? Brickell City Centre is celebrating Pride month with a “welcome home” event series centered around showing love and acceptance to our LGBTQ+ community--and every weekend in June, BCC will feature cocktail making classes hosted by stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race! Space is limited, so RSVP beforehand for what is sure to be a fantastic time.
Enjoy An Evening at Le Rouge
Wynwood’s latest new venue Le Rouge is set to open this weekend with a performance by The Soul Brothers on Friday, followed by the musical stylings of Oscar G this Saturday evening. The 7,000-square-foot new venue features a massive stage in the middle of the room, so audience members enjoy a theater-in-the-round performance experience. Find more information and tickets here.
Recharge at Monarc
With all the challenges of the past year, taking the necessary time to recharge is important for our wellbeing. At Monarc, our residents are invited to treat themselves to a little R&R at our on-site spa and sauna. Book a private spa service, then head out to the sun deck to relax poolside afterwards...the perfect way to spend a lazy summer afternoon!
One of the greatest perks of life at Monarc is our close proximity to Miami’s best downtown beaches. Pack up the sunscreen and make your way to Crandon Park Beach on Key Biscayne for a day of sand and surf. In addition to swimming, beachgoers can enjoy kiteboarding, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and an abundance of wildlife. A day at the beach is the perfect way to ease back into a Miami summer!
We want to see how you’re getting out and about to safely enjoy Miami this summer! Tag us in your photos with #MonarcMet for a chance to be featured on our social channels.
