Whether you’re looking to go full spooky Halloween vibes or searching for something more subtle, read ahead for our favorite DIY decorations for fall!

Fall Wreaths

Hanging an autumn-inspired wreath from your door is a great way to welcome the new season. Country Living offers this list of beautiful options, which range from an olive branch wreath adorned with foliage to an easy to make pine cone wreath brushed with festive fall colors. Hang these from your front door or from a window for an instant decorative statement.

Wheat Bundle Centerpiece

Good Housekeeping shares this idea for a wheat bundle centerpiece sure to set the right tone for fall. Tie a ribbon or colored string around a grouping of dried wheat, then display the bundle in a decorative glass cloche. Find cloche domes for showing off your masterpiece here.

Seasonal Garlands

Decorating with Halloween in mind? Try making this skeleton garland from Women’s Day. All you’ll need is a few simple supplies like a skeleton pattern, paper, and some glitter to create this charming holiday trimming. If you’re looking for a bit more of a crafting challenge, check out this leaf garland from Good Housekeeping.

Firefly Mason Jar Lights

Blogger Lil Blue Boo suggests this great fall decor idea using mason jars to create a “firefly lantern.” Simply arrange a set of LED string lights within an empty mason jar. She also recommends filling the jar with dried moss and weaving the lights throughout for a particularly magical look.

Spooky Soap

Save an extra mason jar for this fun Halloween hand soap dispenser. Oprah Magazine says the project is simple: purchase these spooky eyeball ping-pong balls and fill your jar with hand soap--finish by attaching a mason jar soap pump insert, and you’re done! You can find the full tutorial here.

Apple Candle Holders

If you have some extra apples lying around, try turning them into a seasonal candle holder--it’s an easy way to make decorative use of the fall fruit. Good Housekeeping instructs to core an apple and find a candle to place inside to give any room an instant autumn glow.
