5 Thanksgiving Craft Ideas

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and here at Monarc we think it’s a great time to remember how much we have to be grateful for. Even though in-person celebrations might be somewhat scaled back this year, there’s still plenty of ways to get in the spirit of the giving season. Keep reading to check out our five favorite Thanksgiving crafts for spreading a little love and joy this holiday!      

DIY Thanksgiving Cards

Now that the season of giving thanks is upon us, it’s the perfect time to send a friend or loved one a special handmade card. There’s nothing quite like receiving a handwritten note, and taking the extra time to craft your own card adds that extra personalized touch. All you’ll need is some blank cards to let your creativity start to run wild. Woman’s Day suggests decorating by attaching craft store feathers or using a leaf craft punch for cards that are just right for the fall holiday.

    

Gratitude Calendar

Blogger Coffee, Pancakes & Dreams shares this great idea for starting a Gratitude Calendar this month to guide the way towards feeling a little more thankful each day--a good idea for any month of the year! The calendar includes various activities for inspiring reflection on what we’re grateful for as Thanksgiving approaches. You can download a printable version of their Gratitude Calendar here. Turkey Puppets for Kids

This craft is perfect if you’re looking for a holiday activity that will keep kids busy and entertained. The no-sew project from blogger Dream a Little Bigger is super simple and requires minimal supplies. For an adult craft option, check out this dried flower door hanging from blogger Cheetah is the New Black. Instead of your typical fall wreath, she suggests bundling and hanging dried florals as an alternate form of door decor. Painted Pine Cones

To spruce up your Thanksgiving table setting, try this Painted Pine Cone place card holder idea from blogger Camille Styles. If available, gather some pine cones from outside or purchase craft pine cones. Using acrylic paint, dab the ends of the pine cone and let dry overnight for a chic and festive addition to your holiday table decor.
